I ordered this to cook a Sephardic-style seder. Never got such rave reviews! Several of my guests bought this model tagine after that and we shlep them from one house to another so that we can cook meals together. This is an extrememly easy way to cook fragrant and flavorful meals, and not necesscarily Moroccan. It can make all kinds of stews, beans, braises, soups, meat, fish, vegetables, sauces... What's great about this one: It's huge! (Traditional materials don't generally lend themselves to this size.) It can feed 10 people easily, fits well on a large stovetop burner, goes from stove to table (authentic ones don't necessarily do that either). Worth every penny and will last longer if you follow the directions carefully, use very low heat and plenty of liquid.

I love Emile Henry...pizza stones, tagines, salt pigs, baking dishes...excellent quality every time! I've had this tagine for 4 years and absolutely LOVE IT. It cooks perfectly...great for browning, heavy enough to handle long simmering and goes easily from stove top to table, cleans easily and looks fantastic.
