I called the manufacturer to determine which mounting plate to use, and told them that I wanted to mount the Superwinch Terra 25 on a 2011 Yamaha Grizzly 450 EPS. They told me which mounting plate to use, but never said that the winch would not fit on my ATV. The winch will not fit into the front frame of the ATV because the free-spooling control knob is too large. It appears to be a good winch, but simply will not fit my ATV. What a hassle to try to mount the winch, call to find that other people had the same problem, and return the winch.

I bought this winch to replace a Warn winch that was damaged in an ATV rollover. This Superwinch was less expensive and it's as good, or better than the Warn. I installed it myself on my Bombardier Outlander Max 800. It probably took me 6 hours to install, but it was the first time I ever did any work on the Bombardier myself, so much of that time was just figuring out how to remove bolts, bumpers, running wires, etc. I did buy a mounting kit, which is absolutely essential to mounting this winch on the Bombardier. I'm hoping it'll get its real first serious workout in 3 weeks when I take it elk hunting. I highly recommend this product.
