The Cosmos Bookcase is a perfect item for a teenage room. The bookcase stands out as hip and contemporary. The shelves are height adjustable, which means that you can even fit a 19 inch flat screen television in between. The drawers are a great size for video games and books or socks and underwear. The bookcase is sturdy and easy to build and comes with step by step instructions.

Remember what you pay for this-- it isn't fine furniture you're going to pass down to your ancestors. BUT, for the price it is very functional and attractive. It looks great in our contemporary media room, and holds kid's books and DVD's. It was easy to put together.

When the bookcase arrived I was concerned because the box was in really bad shape and many of the pieces were damaged from poor packaging however once put together it has survived being moved multiple times fully loaded and well over 100 pounds additional. My only complaint is the same that everyone seems to have and that is its overly complicated to put together, i've put together a lot of furniture in the past and this took me roughly 3 hours but it is very sturdy. It is smaller than I had imagined even with measuring out the the dimensions. Also as someone else said the the drawer locks do kick in early but there not as deep as a previous reviewer would have you believe you can still put dvds in the drawer and be able to take them out easily. Also the metal pegs allow you to insert a small 3-4 inch item underneath the book case and they serve as wonderful sliders on carpet so it becomes easier to move. So if you can accept the inevitable scratches on the pieces because of the poor packaging its a great bookcase.
