The only manufacturer to consider when looking for rice cookers. The choices are overwhelming, so I recommend to visit the Zojirushi website for the comparison table of different models. There are also education videos to learn about the features and what they are for. No need to purchase high-tech features you won't be using. But if you like rice, oatmeal, or hot cereals...there are some very precise models available. They are pricy, but last almost a life time. I am on my second. Previous model was 25 years old.

Fantastic rice cooker with many features. The rice turns out amazing and delicious. The Umami flavor is incredible and worth the extra investment. Another design feature I like is that it's easy to clean. I know there are induction and pressure cookers out there but they don't have the Umami flavor. This rice cooker uses less wattage than the induction cookers so you`ll save on electricity. I chose the 10 cup because it can cook even 1 cup of rice perfectly. When I have guests I may cook up to 8 cups of rice so this rice cooker is very versatile. Splurge and get the best rice cooker on the market.

When the cooking begins you will hear a cute melody: "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star". When the rice is done you will hear: "Amaryllis".

My last Sanyo rice cooker (bought it 15 years ago) finally died. I wanted to have another rice cooker lasts another 10 years like my previous one - hope this one will. When I cook rice, I need the rice to be ready as soon as possible - because I am always hungry and cannot wait like an hour, so the quick cook function is perfect for me, my previous machine never be able to make such a great rice in such short period. I'm very happy to have this rice cooker and highly recommended.
